Behind the Suit Name: The Headliner

In this series we pay homage to the style, character, and contribution of an elite group of people and places—the namesakes of our complete outfits.

Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr.—all synonyms for “cool,” even if your entire experience with the Rat Pack can be summed up in a poster you bought in your freshman year of college. Sure, they were talented, but it was their lifestyle (with an emphasis on “style”) that cemented the group’s iconic status.

To this day, these crooners are most associated with headlining the biggest rooms in Las Vegas, a city dedicated to the group’s favorite pastimes: drinking too much, smoking too much, spending too much, dating (ahem)… a lot, and of course, dressing to the nines. These guys never apologized for having a good time, but they also looked pretty good doing it.

When you think Sinatra, you think slim necktie. You think a crisp white dress shirt and pocket square. You think a well-fitted, black tuxedo. Simple, but not as simple as it looks. Dino and Sammy—they got the memo. Live hard, dress well.

Lucky for you, you don’t have to destroy your liver to channel Sinatra’s style—start by getting the look, then play it by ear.
