The best moments are the ones you frame, but the difficult ones matter, too. In our real weddings series, we ask couples to share their wedding highs and lows.

BEST WEDDING MOMENT
Willie: Right after we kiss and say “I do,” and are walking down the aisle. In the photo, you can see the raw and honest emotions on our faces. We felt really connected to each other. For me, it was the first time I got to really look around the room and see all the people singing and yelling and cheering and clapping. If I could send my younger self a photo from the future, it would be that photo, so that I would know that was in my future someday.

WORST WEDDING MOMENT
Willie: Leading up to the wedding, we were really excited about having a great dance party at the reception. We booked a really good DJ who makes these great mixes, and heβs well-known for keeping the energy up. During the reception, one of the kids at the wedding grabbed the DJ’s external drive and disconnected it from his computer while everyone was dancing to the Wobble. The DJ springs into action to get the music playing again, but itβs a different song. Later, he tells us that when the kid disconnected his external drive, his files were corrupted. He lost 80% of the music he had planned to play.
Fortunately, he was able to rebuild some of the drive, and near the end of the reception he had everyone form a circle around us, and played this beautiful mix of love songs that he made just for us. It was beautiful. Everything turned out alright in the end.
