Full canvas tuxedos (featured in our core collection) contain a layer of horsehair canvas running throughout the entire jacket that conforms to your body over time, creating a personalized fit with exceptional draping and breathability. Half canvas tuxedos (found in our Essentials collection) incorporate canvas in the chest and lapel areas—offering many benefits of canvassed construction at a more accessible price point. Fused tuxedos, commonly found in mass-market options, use glue instead of canvas to attach layers, which can create stiffness, bubbling over time, and reduces the garment's longevity—making canvas construction (whether full or half) the superior investment for both appearance and durability in your formal wardrobe.

Our Nordstrom partners have in-house alteration departments that can provide tailoring services for purchased tuxedos. Our flagship showrooms do not offer in-store alterations. For any alterations that may be needed after receiving your items, you can take them to any local tailor and have the adjustments made. We will also reimburse you up to $15 per item. Contact customer care if you have any reimbursement requests.

We design our collection in-house with a modern American silhouette, striking a balance between classic suit-making techniques and contemporary style. Our core suiting and tuxedos feature a full canvas construction, and we use natural textiles like luxurious linen, plush cotton velvet, and breathable-yet-insulating merino wool. We offer all of this in both our rental garments and those available for purchase, so you look and feel incredible whether you rent or buy your items.

Purchases ship within 2-3 days of checkout via standard shipping, which is free on all purchase orders over $200. We offer free returns or exchanges within 60 days from the delivery date of your purchase. Any item you return to us must be unaltered and unworn and must include the packing slip and the original clothing tags still intact. Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

The main difference lies in the use of satin. Tuxedos feature satin accents on the lapels, buttons, and stripe down the pant legs, giving them a more formal appearance. Suits are made entirely of the same material without satin detailing, suitable for less formal occasions.
