Tuxedo shirts are also designed to accommodate formal accessories like button studs and cufflinks that are often worn with tuxedos, while dress shirts are made with buttons built in—suitable for more casual attire.

Many tuxedo shirts have bibs—a formal and traditional element that primarily elevates the appearance of the shirt beyond that of a standard dress shirt. Some of our modern tuxedo shirts feature a concealed placket, which hides the buttons for a seamless look. As the button studs would be hidden, these shirts do not work with button studs, but they do allow for cufflinks.
